Professor John C. Mbuya

CEO

(PhD; MBA; MCOM; AIFA; FICB; IOB.)

Professor John C. Mbuya is a global strategist, an international business authority, seasoned corporate banker, author, lecturer and mentor to thousands of managers globally and is regarded as having pioneered many of the systems, procedures and training programmes which organizations can put into place to handle the risk aspects of their businesses. Prof. Mbuya is a former principal senior lecturer (Banking and Risk Management) in the Department of Economics and Econometrics, University of Johannesburg, where he specialized in Banking and Risk Management.

Former senior lecturer at De Montfort University, (UK) former Director of Milpark Business School South Africa. Former Professor of International Business at the College of Applied Sciences in Oman, former Professor of Strategic Management and MBA Director at the American University in the Emirates. John graduated from De Montfort University (UK) with an MBA and a PhD in Business Risk Management from University of Johannesburg. He is a seasoned corporate banker, part-time University lecturer in South Africa, Botswana and Mozambique, parttime HIV/AIDS counsellor in Southern Africa and a women and child abuse activist and a leadership student. He has worked for Nedbank, Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), Teba bank (now Ubank) and the then Saambou bank in South Africa. John has performed many varied roles ranging from financial accountant to risk management.

Fanie Meso

BANKING OPERATIONS

Fanie Meso holds degrees and diplomas in BCom (Accounting); Diploma in Commercial Banking (LIB (S.A)); Associate Diploma in Banking (C.A.I.B.(S.A)) Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Law and Post Graduate Higher Diploma in Tax Law. Fanie is has a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) Dissertation. “An Investigation into Enterprise-Wide Risk Management with Specific Reference to Economic Value Added”. Fanie has an extensive banking experience, covering 26 years in the banking industry. He started as a bank clerk, Branch Manager and worked himself up to level of a Regional General Manager

Fanie has had an extensive exposure and experiences in the various areas of banking – i.e. Proof, ledgers, savings, investments, enquiries, tellers, mandates, student loans, foreign exchange, exchange control, securities for advances, script and credit. Assisted retail and corporate credit managers in assessment and management of credit risk.

Managed credit portfolio in respect of excesses and covenants. Prepared and submitted credit application to Regional Head Office Credit. Involved in legal actions and handing over of accounts to Attorneys. Submission of claims in respect of insolvencies, liquidations and deceased estates in need. Head of cash operations. All of the above-mentioned experience was with some of the major banks in South Africa such as First National bank, AfroFund bank and Saambou bank. Fanie also worked for Nedcor bank for 2 years as a Manager in Corporate and International Credit department. AFRO FUND Merchant and Corporate Bank as Head Credit Management.

Lindi Cindi

RISK MANAGEMENT

Lindi have a combination of skills and 20 years of experience in the Financial Institutions and Development Financial Institutions. I have worked for both International and local Institution. I held the following positions: Credit Manager: Nedbank 1996 2000 Senior Credit Officer: UBS Securities SA 2000 – 2005 Regional Head Sub Sahara Africa: Risk Management: Standard Chartered Bank 2005 – 2009 Chief Risk Officer and Acting CEO Land Bank: Chief Risk Officer 2009 – 2016

Previous positions have enabled me to develop a high level of skill and experience in the following areas.
• Developed an in-house Internal Audit function structure for the Land Bank
• Experience in both internal and external audit environments.
• Worked in a finance environment.
• Extensive experience in Risk Management.
• Excellent understanding of the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations.
• Acting Chief Executive of the Land Bank, and Ex-officio board member of the Land Bank and Land Bank
Insurance Company (Subsidiary of the Land Bank).

Owen Ngandu

MARKETING CONSULTANT

Owen Ngandu is an Executive Director at Africa Infrastructure Investment Facilitation Agency (AIIFA), a company specializing in project facilitation for investors and project owners, as well as a development strategy. His experience has led him to work with several Investors and entrepreneurs in various sectors. Owen is responsible for sourcing and linking investors with investment opportunities. In this role, Owen is also Head of Investor Relations, managing all investor relationships and needs. He has over 7 years in investment facilitation consulting within the Africa region.

Sectors covered include Energy & Power, Environment, Health, Mining, Information & Communication Technology, Infrastructure, Private Sector, Transport, Water Supply & Sanitation, Agriculture & Agro industries, and Education sectors. Owen is an independent and strategic thinker with a questioning mind and an understanding of the commercial drivers of businesses. A team player who uses strong communication, influencing, problem solving and leadership skills to achieve outcomes.

Herman R.van Rooney

OPERATIONS

Electronic Engineer, IT Project Specialist and Entrepreneur, with more than 25 years’ experience and the ability to conceptualize solutions to the Business industry. Herman is a valuable contribution to IACA company operations. He’s critical to IACA’s success always innovated and resourcefulness in solving, the challenges and problems.

Whether charged with leading, turnarounds of a business unit, spearheading design or key account management responsibilities, he always delivers. A distinguished career directing the development of quality, solutions and highly proactive, task focused and deliver projects on time and within budget following through from initial conception and development, to detailed planning and execution, final delivery and customer satisfaction. Achievements in negotiating and securing contracts for projects, managing, hiring staff, budgets, scheduling, purchasing and logistics. Excellent experience in design and implementation of Projects, researching new technologies for future & current project implementation.

Jaco Schnetler

PROJECT MANAGER

A Professional Senior Project Manager (Client Side) with a career spanning over 25 year’s across large multimillion pojects  throughout Australia, New Zealand, Iraq, and South Africa. Proven track record in managing and leading large teams with a demonstrable project management capability in multiple industries including, infrastructure, mining and resources, light industrial, railway new buildings and upgrades, retail, residential and high rise buildings. Solid background in Client and Stakeholder engagement with an impeccable record and approach to all aspects of OHS&E both on and off site.

Project managed various large capital Building and Mining projects and ensured project schedule, budget and quality, were being met in accordance with Client requirements and expectations. Assured program quality and organizational stability through development and implementation of the standards and controls, systems and procedures, and regular evaluation. Promoted programs and services that are produced in a cost-effective manner, employing economy while maintaining an acceptable level of quality.

A Professional Electrical Graduate Engineer with more than 25year’s experience as Electrical Engineering Consultant. A registered Member of the IEEE. Dealt at length with ESCOM on various Electrical Projects as Electrical Engineering Consultant. Focused and specialised lately on Renewable Energy Clients for the last 5 years. Proven track record in the Design, Costing and Implementation of bulk supply Electrical Distribution networks to existing and new developments throughout Southern Africa.

Peet Botha

HIGH VOLTAGE SPECIALIST

(Pr. Eng) (MBL)

A Professional Electrical Graduate Engineer with more than 25year’s experience as Consultant. A Leader in the Field of Renewable Energy and High Voltage. Member of the IEEE, USGBC in the USA and locally of the SAGBC. Planned and implemented major projects in South Africa.

Designed and managed major macro and micro electrical infrastructure projects for ESCOM and Greater Municipalities including commercial projects for leading Property Developers Overall Project Leader for major community controlled electrical infrastructure projects on average for 30’000stands. Various Projects comprised the provision and planning of 33KV electrical networks including full secondary reticulation networks to dwellings. Consulted for the Department of Mineral and Energy to establish appropriate strategic project management policies and processes which were implemented in the Department at various project levels.

Appointed by ESCOM and Citi Power to create and establish an overall strategic electrical master plan including a socio-economic development and
implementation model for the Greater Johannesburg area. Appointed to design and implement the first infrastructure upgrade of the electrical
master plan to ensure that reliable electrical networks and capacity are available to the residents during peak demand
